Brett is the Environmental Management Team Leader and Practice Leader for Water Resources Planning and Management. He has over 25 years of progressive environmental and water resources engineering and management experience in Colorado, California, and Arizona. His project experience and expertise includes groundwater and surface water hydrology & hydraulics, water supply development, water rights engineering, environmental permitting, planning, and assessment, and integrated resource planning and modeling. He is a registered professional engineer in Colorado and Diplomate of the American Academy of Water Resource Engineers with a Engineering Physics from Westmont College and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from UC – Berkeley. He also has an interest in renewable energy and sustainable systems engineering in the developing world having worked on water supply and hydropower projects in Honduras, Uganda, and Rwanda.

When he’s not geeking out about the food – energy – water systems nexus, he spends time with family at youth sports and any water body they can find and telemark skiing. He has an active interest as a parent and volunteer board member in the many practical, spiritual, relational, and mental health issues related to foster care, adoption, and public | faith-based private partnerships, especially as they relate to childhood trauma.
