Leonard Rice Engineers, Inc. (LRE) is a company that provides consulting and engineering services related to planning, managing, and developing water resources throughout the Western United States. We have offices in Colorado, Texas, Arizona and Kansas. LRE’s ownership has evolved from a single owner to an employee-owned corporation with multiple principal owners.

Lee Rice starts his new company at 27th and Speer.1976
Move to 27th and Alcott, near La Loma, who still serves great chili rellenos.1977
City & County of Broomfield becomes a client.1978
Gregg Ten Eyck joins LRE.1980
Work with the State of Wyoming on the Wind River Adjudication and create our first Fortran river basin water rights administration model.1981
Greg Roush and Janet Williams join LRE.1983
Move to Root Building at 15th and Platte.1984
Eagle River Water & Sanitation District becomes a client.1985
LRE is hired by SRP to work on groundwater and surface water matters for the Gila River Adjudication.1986
Jon Ford joins LRE.1992
Lee Rice steps down as President, ownership transitions to three Principal Shareholders.1993
Donala Water and Sanitation District becomes a client.1998
Move to 20th and Clay.2000
Katie Fendel joins LRE and forms our Environmental Management Group.2010
Ownership is broadened to include more employees.2012
The Water Information Technology Group is formed, lead by Kelly Close.2013
Move to 1221 Auraria Parkway.2015
LRE Water, LLC (expansion) office in Round Rock, Texas opens.2017
