LRE provides watershed planning services in a number of Colorado basins, assisting with the development of watershed plans, conducting investigations to identify and target key pollutant sources, and recommending management solutions for parameters including nutrients, temperature, and metals. We bring together diverse groups, including both governmental and other public and private stakeholders, to collaborate in problem identification and development of watershed-level solutions. This includes compilation of historical water quality, biological, spatial and drainage infrastructure information, data analysis to identify stressors and pollutant loading sources and understand what is happening in the watershed, and identification of management strategies and plans for water quality improvement measures. We merge this expertise with our in-depth water supply planning experience, including in-depth knowledge of Colorado water rights/water law, hydrologic analysis, development of augmentation plan accounting, engineering support for water rights changes of use and filing for new water rights, consumptive use modeling, and supply optimization.
